Allen Benfield Koenig, 62, of Asheville, passed away on Thursday, July 28, 2011, at his home. He was born on September 12, 1948, to the late Dorothy Benfield Koenig and Robert F. Koenig of Niskayuna, NY. Allen served as attorney in charge of estate administration at Strauss & Associates in Asheville, NC. He was an avid and accomplished cyclist, woodworker, musician, brewer, and vintner. Allen is survived by his beloved wife, Suzanne; his dear father, Robert F.; his brother, Edward; his two children, Brian and Ami; his step-children, Johan, Tanya, and Liza; and grandson, Louis. He was a loving husband, father, and friend, and he will be truly missed.
